Fran was a retired school teacher who worked at the store and also taught some amazing classes. When she worked in the store I was always sure that she would treat people with courtesy and respect and she was very knowledgeable and happy to share that knowledge. She was one of the most talented people I ever met, and also one of the kindest. If you had the pleasure of taking one of her classes you know how organized and prepared she was and how she loved to teach.
This past year was difficult for Fran but she handled her last journey with her usual grace. I have been extremely lucky to have Fran as a friend and learned so many things from her. My life is so much richer for her having been it.
I saw a quote that I can hear her saying...from Dr. Seuss.
"Don't cry because it's over....Smile because it happened."
I'm smiling Fran!

I am so sorry, Heather. Fran was a wonderful lady. Although, I never took a class from her, she was so welcoming at the store.
Thank you for posting this thoughtful tribute to a wonderful lady. Fran's creativity and generous heart were always such an inspiration. I am smiling too.
